Garden Design & Landscaping

  • Natalie Olsen (Grace Gardens) does lovely work. She lives in Crescent Heights. @gracegardens.bc is her Instagram – Laura Thibeault

  • Chris Doobenen (Canadian Colorscapes, 694-538-6876) did our brickwork. ( we have no grass , just bricks and flower beds) He is a nice guy and did great work. Not cheap , but it was 3 guys working for a week .  We could never have done it ourselves.- Jane Goundrey

  • I have used a young landscaper, Sarah Kruk for our small garden to plant some perennials. We are very happy with her work. Sarah planted two Edith Bogue magnolia trees. They flowered the first year. She is very hardworking and knowledgeable. Sarah Kruk, Crimson EcoGardens & Local Eats,778-227-0510 [email protected] -Manjeet Kaur Sembi

  • I have dealt with Garden Gate before. They fixed my leaking pond after the contractor who put it in gave up trying to find the leak. I dealt with Keith Dallamore who was just excellent and is a real plant person. He is semi-retired and his son apparently has the part of the business that does landscaping and garden maintenance so you could try them - Joan Galloway
Pruning

  • I've used Royal Wood for several years & been very happy with them.  Contact: Jon 604 916  6187.  Excellent service & very knowledgeable. – Connie Glover , Valerie, Roberta Pak, Jane Goundrey,

  • Jason Stoppa who has Urban Grove is excellent. Darts Hill Garden has even started using him. He took down a dead 80-foot cedar tree in my yard a few years ago and didn't do any damage to my garden. – Sharon Lawson, Laura Thibeault

  • Bartlett  - Roberta Braddock, Roberta Pak, Barbara Davidson, Liz Knight, Ruth Sebastian

  • We have used  The Arborist last year. They do a lovely job of shaping the trees. You can contact them at 604-584-5542.- Lorna Fraser
Soil and Soil Amendments

  • Claude Ledoux (former parks head in New West) recommends these guys: https://premiumsoils.ca/  - Liz Knight

  • If you attended the South Delta Garden Club Open Gardens you will remember the dark, rich soil that was on many of the gardens. My understanding is it comes from Port Guichon Farms in south Delta. Port Guichon Farms  - Debbie Mellenger

  • I have had good experience with both Big Yellow Bag and Murphy's Topsoil.  Used Big Yellow Bag in raised beds for veggies and Murphy's in a new flower bed.  The plants seem to like it, and delivery was on time and placed exactly where I asked in both cases. - Dorothy Brown
