- We have tried to balance our income and expenses to have a balanced budget. We are very close.
- Membership fees will remain unchanged: $35 for an individual, $45 for a family
- We have estimated plant sale income and expenditures as the average of the last three years. This is an uncertain amount and one reason for having a reserve fund.
- St. Mark's has asked for a modest increase in hall rentals - the first in many years. This impacts our monthly meeting costs and our plant sale.
- We have made adjustments for some other increased costs in other areas such as meeting set-up and take-down and propagation materials for the plant sale.
- We had an exceptionally profitable plant sale this year, and we are going to invest this windfall in a few hours of a sound professional advice and, depending on the recommendations we receive, much better audio equipment for our meetings.
If you have any questions or comments pertaining to the budget please send them to Dave Baird prior to our AGM meeting if you can.
This will give Dave time to respond to your query in a thoughtful manner and will facilitate a smooth and efficient AGM.
